By 2026, the use of Automotive Aluminum is expected to reach record levels of 514 pounds per vehicle, largely as a result of increased use of auto body sheet. Aluminum is currently the fastest-growing automotive material (ABS). The Ford F-150, Super Duty, Expedition, and Lincoln Navigator were the first mass-produced vehicles with aluminium bodies. As ABS growth picks up, new research found that the demand for aluminium ABS scrap will also reach an all-time high in the following decade.
